The portable boot washer is particularly well-suited for retrofitting in situations where installing a stationary unit is not possible. Thanks to its compact size and relatively light weight, the portable boot washer can be easily transported in an emergency vehicle. The practical carrying handle on the top allows it to be carried by hand to the scene. Since the boot washer does not require an electrical connection, it only needs to be connected to a water supply via a 1/2″ hose.
The water supply is turned on by operating the ball valve. The water flows through small spray nozzles mounted in a U-shaped water channel above the brushes, hitting the bristles and footwear from all sides. The resulting water turbulence loosens the dirt on the footwear. As the boot rubs against the stiff bristles of the bottom and side brushes, all dirt is effortlessly removed from the boots in a matter of moments and washed away with the flowing water.
