Access Control for Escape Routes

The Escape Route Entry Control system offers an optimal solution for securing access to sensitive production areas when there is limited space available for escape and rescue routes. The tamper-proof two-hand disinfection system ensures that employees can only enter the hygiene area with properly disinfected hands. If the emergency stop switch is activated during an emergency , the turnstile folds down, immediately clearing the way for a rapid evacuation. Hand Disinfection at the Entry Control for the Emergency Exit

1. When an employee approaches the Entry control device, the indicator LED lights up red, signaling that the device is ready for use. The employee then places their hands in the two openings of the hand sanitizing module.

2. Sensors ensure that hands remain inside the two-hand Hand Disinfection Device at all times. The full-cone nozzles, triggered by the sensor control system, distribute the sanitizer evenly over the hands. Thanks to a sophisticated dosing system, the exact dosage of the disinfectant and cleaning agent can be adjusted to meet the individual needs of each facility.

3. Only after the sensors have confirmed that the hands are present throughout the entire process is the robust stainless-steel turnstile released. A green indicator LED signals that access to the protected hygiene area has been granted. As soon as the employee enters the sensitive production areas with properly disinfected hands, the indicator changes from green back to red.

The Escape Route Entry Control System is primarily characterized by its fold-down, extremely robust stainless steel turnstile. If the emergency stop switch is activated in an emergency, the top stainless steel bar of the electrically controlled turnstile immediately folds down. This allows staff to quickly evacuate the hygiene area without obstruction and provides first responders with unobstructed access. This feature allows the entry control device to be used in very narrow passageways where a standard hygiene sluice or entry control system would not provide a compliant escape and rescue route. To widen the escape route, the Entry control device can easily be installed with a panic gate (see accessories below). In this case, the magnetically locked gate opens automatically when the emergency stop button is pressed.

The entry control unit is made entirely of high-quality, finely polished stainless steel and, thanks to its superior craftsmanship, offers exceptional durability and a long service life even under demanding daily use. The entry control device is equipped with a canister holder for space-saving storage of cleaning and disinfectant solutions.
The entry control device comes standard with a hand sanitizer module. A soap dispenser is available as an option in place of the hand disinfection (see Options). Additionally, the Entry control unit can be ordered for wall mounting or with a base for floor mounting (see Options).

The entry control unit with hand disinfection is ready for installation; however, the price does not include the siphon, backflow preventer, gaskets, small parts, or installation.
