The fire department boot washer consists of a custom-made stainless steel tub with a hot-dip galvanized grating insert featuring sole and side brushes. It is a professional boot cleaner designed for heavy-duty use by fire departments, police departments, or construction companies.
With the following features, the fire department boot washer excels in every operational setting:
- Rack with built-in brushes and water jets
- 1 sole cleaning brush with high-quality nylon bristles
- 2 nylon side brushes for cleaning the edges of the soles
- Thanks to the low-profile brush arrangement, it is also ideal for ankle-high work shoes
- Controlling the water with a foot switch
- 1 hand brush with manual pressure valve, hose with quick-connect coupling
- With a large drip pan for draining used water
- With built-in sludge collection bucket and odor trap
- Made of high-quality stainless steel
- Available in a version with a railing or a handrail (see options)
- No power required
The basin of this boot washer is covered with two hot-dip galvanized grates featuring a central cutout. An automatic water shut-off valve is mounted at the front of the cutout and is activated by the tip of the foot. Side spray nozzles direct water over the brushes onto the footwear. A water-fed stainless steel hand brush (with a shut-off mechanism via a hand-lever quick-release valve) allows for additional manual cleaning of the boot shaft or other items that need cleaning. A drain integrated into the stainless steel tub of the boot cleaner, featuring a mud trap and odor trap, ensures optimal water drainage and the separate collection of coarse debris. The front grate can be removed from the unit for easy cleaning of the boot washer and emptying of the sludge trap.
The fire department boot washer provides first-class cleaning of footwear. The water supply is activated by pressing a foot valve. The water flows through small spray nozzles mounted in a U-shaped water pipe above the brushes, spraying the bristles and the footwear from all sides. The resulting water flow softens the dirt on the footwear. When the boot is then rubbed against the lower and side brushes, the dirt comes off effortlessly and is carried away by the flowing water into the collection tray.
The boot washer is installed at ground level, directly on the floor. Adjustable feet ensure stability. The handrail provides additional protection and support. A version with a grab bar instead of the handrail is available as an option.
The water connection must comply with the regulations of the responsible water utility. The European standard DIN EN 1717 serves as the guiding principle, supplemented by national standards. The drinking water installation must be performed exclusively by a licensed specialist contractor. When connecting to the drinking water system, a system separator or pipe separator approved by the building owner must be used (not included in the scope of delivery).
