The built-in boot washer with a low-profile grating is a professional, stationary boot cleaning system. It is made of stainless steel and features 2 side brushes, 12 replaceable sole brushes, and side water spray nozzles. The system thoroughly cleans boot soles and edges up to ankle height. A water-fed hand brush cleans boot shafts and other accessories. The system includes a system separator compliant with DIN EN 1717 and an automatic water shut-off valve. It is particularly popular with fire departments, in military barracks, at sports facilities, and in commercial establishments.

The built-in boot washer installed in the grating stands out for the following features:

  • Ideal as a replacement for older systems (e.g., Rotter boot washer).
  • Without stainless steel basin (for flush installation in an existing floor recess)
  • Professional boot washer made entirely of stainless steel with a grating
  • Includes 12 replacement sole cleaning brushes
  • 2 side brush strips for optimal cleaning of footwear up to the ankle area
  • With stainless steel spray nozzles mounted on the side
  • Also cleans ankle-high work shoes
  • Removable stainless steel wire rack
  • With built-in splash guard
  • 1 sink, open at the bottom; without a base tray
  • With a system separator compliant with DIN 1717 to ensure water quality
  • With a stainless steel handrail for greater stability
  • With an automatic water shut-off valve
  • Includes a water-fed hand brush
  • The hand brush comes with a 1.5-meter water hose for manually cleaning boot shafts
  • Easy cleaning and maintenance
  • No power required

With its soft side brushes and stiffer sole brushes, the built-in boot washer mounted on a low-profile grating cleans boots thoroughly and quickly. The friction of the boots against the floor and side brushes loosens dirt from the surface of the boot material. During the cleaning process, the stainless steel handrail provides a secure place to hold on. On the left side of the handrail, a high-quality, water-fed stainless steel hand-washing brush and a quick-stop valve are within easy reach. The practical hand-washing brush is specifically designed for individual, precise boot cleaning afterward. A certified FK4 system separator compliant with DIN 1717 for maintaining water quality makes the design of the built-in boot washer in Gitterost even more sophisticated.

Thanks to its standardized grating, the boot washer can be installed in a variety of ways. For example, it can be easily installed in low-profile floor recesses or manhole covers. This boot washer can also be conveniently ordered as a replacement for older systems (e.g., Rotter). The included flexible hose and the conversion kit for the water lines make it easy to switch to this newer model. If you’re interested in a boot washer that includes a floor tray, we recommend the stainless steel low-profile built-in boot washer.

The boot washer comes standard with an integrated Splash guard. The stainless steel grating and the 12 brushes on the boot washer can be easily removed and replaced. This makes maintenance and cleaning particularly simple. The water connection must comply with the regulations of the local water utility and must be installed by a licensed contractor. No electrical connection is required.

If you are interested in a low-profile boot washer, we recommend the “Stainless Steel Low-Profile Boot Washer” for boots and the “Low-Profile Work Shoe Washing Station” for work shoes.
