Boot Washer with Grating

The grating-mounted boot washer is a stationary boot washer that is built into a standard grating. Designed for flush-mounted or partially recessed installation in floors or as a cover for a shaft. For fire stations, military barracks, commercial facilities, and agricultural operations.

The boot washer can be installed in a grating either flush with the ground (fully recessed) or partially recessed.

Because this boot washer is integrated into a standard grating, it can be installed in a variety of ways, such as directly into manhole covers. The boot washer with grating offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of its installation location. Grating sizes other than the standard ones are available upon request.

A permanently mounted stainless steel support bracket ensures a secure and stable footing during use. The risk of accidents is eliminated with ground-level installation, as there are no tripping hazards when the boot washer is fully covered.

The grating-style boot washer ensures optimal cleaning of footwear with a stiff sole brush and two softer side brushes. An automatic water shut-off valve is mounted at the front of the basin and is activated by the tip of the foot. When the user presses the button with the tip of their shoe or boot, water flows to the spray nozzle strips for 15 seconds (factory setting).

Water sprays onto the bristles and the shoes from all sides through small nozzles. When the foot, still in the shoe, is rubbed against the lower and side brushes, the dirt comes off effortlessly. The foot valve has a flow duration that can be adjusted in increments of 7, 15, and 30 seconds. This allows for optimal water conservation.

We offer the following optional accessories: a single-frame angle bracket made of 35×5 angle iron in a hot-dip galvanized version, and side concrete anchors approximately 50 mm long for installation on exposed concrete. For transport, the retaining bracket attached to the top end is removed, allowing for space-saving and safe delivery.

The water connection must comply with the regulations of the responsible water utility. The European standard DIN EN 1717 serves as the guiding principle, supplemented by national standards. The drinking water installation must be performed exclusively by a licensed specialist contractor. When connecting to the drinking water system, a system separator or pipe separator approved by the building owner must be used (not included in the scope of delivery).
