To enter the protected hygiene area, employees must first step into a disinfection tray. The custom-formulated disinfectant solution thoroughly disinfects the soles of shoes and boots as the employee walks through. While the employee is still standing in the disinfection basin, they place their hands into the two openings of the hand disinfection unit. Two sensors ensure that the hands remain in the device at all times and trigger the disinfection process. Spray nozzles distribute the disinfectant evenly over the entire hand.

Only after hand disinfection has been successfully completed is the electric turnstile leading to the production area activated. After the employee has passed through the vandal-proof stainless steel turnstile, they enter a drip zone. Here, liquid dripping from shoes, boots, and clogs is collected to prevent the disinfectant from being carried into the production areas.

The airlock is equipped with a sturdy handrail to ensure a secure grip when passing through the cleaning station. In addition, there are height-adjustable steps located before and after the station. An emergency stop switch can be used to immediately unlock the electric turnstile in both directions, allowing for a quick evacuation of the hygiene area. The side-mounted dispenser holder for hand sanitizer is included as standard.

These hygiene sluices are not designed to allow personnel to exit the production areas through them. To prevent dirt from being carried into the facility’s staff area, a walk-through sole cleaner installed at the exit is recommended. We offer various single-lane (e.g., ECO continuous-flow sole cleaner) and dual-lane (e.g., dual-lane hygiene system with controlled entry and exit) systems for this purpose.

The CLASSIC hygiene station for foot and hand disinfection is delivered fully assembled and ready for connection; however, the siphon, backflow preventer, seals, small parts, and on-site installation are not included in the price. Installation is very simple—just follow our instructions—and can be performed, for example, by a local plumbing company. The unit is delivered on a pallet by truck to the curb.
